Our Journey

It was August 1998, and our love for cooking and relishing good food led to the foundation of Checkers Restaurant. The experiments in our kitchen helped us realize our passion for serving great food.

We started with Chinese cuisine, as it was trending at the time and very few places in Nagpur served good Chinese food. People loved the fact that there was finally a place offering quality Chinese flavors.

One of our most iconic additions was the oldest coffee machine from Delhi. This coffee has created millions of memories, witnessed generations, and been a part of countless conversations over the years. And it will continue to do so.

Sitting in his office is seen Shri Lachhman Das Shivdasani, the man who instilled discipline, hardwork, passion and courage in us to follow our heart and never give up.

After an intense cricket match at the VCA Civil Lines, Jason Glispie was spotted at a Checkers restaurant, unwinding with a hearty meal. A few fans recognized him and approached for a quick chat. Jason, always humble posed for a few pictures. The evening at Checkers was the perfect way to relax after a thrilling day on the field.
